• We followed them up about a week later at their requested / preferred time to see how they went and arranged an appointment for a site visit
• The family in question had become interested in solar power due to a desire to save money, concern about growing power bills and a concern for the environment
• Their Solar SA consultant talked though all of their preferences regarding budget, electricity usage, aesthetics, and the type of panel that would best suit their needs
• The house had a shade issue on the North section of the roof. Generally, Thin Film panels are best in shaded areas but they take 2.5 times as much roof space as Crystalline panels. Measuring up the roof and fixing points and doing a shade analysis using a Solar Pathfinder Tool revealed that the best panel for them was actually a Crystalline Module as the shade could be avoided and would not be a problem. This means that their system output is actually more efficient than if a thin film system over a larger surface area had been selected

• All paperwork was done on site on the day by the Solar SA Solar Consultant
• The paperwork for rebates and discounts as well as the order for goods was delivered to office administrator by the solar consultant same day
• Office administrator processes on the same day including work associated with the rebate, rec’s forms, job file, and ETSA metering requirements
• Rebates are monitored to ensure that there are no problems and they are approved ASAP
• ETSA meters are monitored to ensure they are installed ASAP
• The rebate was approved and the solar consultant then booked in a day for system installation
• ETSA issued an install date for the meter. Customer was notified by letter with date and time
• System was installed in half a day and up and running straight away

• The family in question had become interested in solar power due to a desire to save money, concern about growing power bills and a concern for the environment
• Their Solar SA consultant talked though all of their preferences regarding budget, electricity usage, aesthetics, and the type of panel that would best suit their needs
• The customer had a 5-degree almost flat roof, which is not ideal for solar panels. It was decided that an elevated 30-degree frame would be the best way to go. The frame selected ensured maximum output for the system. The system was fairly close to the beach so hot dip rails, aluminium and stainless steel were used to prevent corrosion in future
• The customer received the best tailored system for their particular situation
• All paperwork was done on site on the day by the Solar SA Solar Consultant
